Welcome to the K-3 PTO website!
Greetings! We are so glad you found us!! We are excited about the future at the Carl Junction Primary K-3 and would like to have you join us as we

venture through another school year.

As always, the focus of the PTO is to bring our children,

the school staff and the parents together.

Together we can accomplish many good things for our children's education.

Of course, most good things require lots of hard work!

(That's the together part!!) 

 We hope that you will attend our monthly meetings to help make decisions about upcoming activities and events. Your input and opinions are very important to us. We also would like to ask that you could volunteer your time when you are available to do so.

We would like to be available to you to answers any questions that you may have

or to address any ideas that you have.

We are focusing on family oriented events for the 2009-2010 school year.

We have gotten many great ideas from you and we

will work to achieve as many of them that we reasonably can.

Chick-fil-A
The second Thursday
of each month is
CJ Spirit Nite
@ Chick-fil-A!!
 
Chick-fil-A and the CJ Primary K-3
are teaming up!
 
 
Each month we will send home a
Spirit Night form and ask that
you bring it into either
Chick-fil-A location on
Spirit Night and Chick-fil-A will
donate 20% of the sales from
our school back to us!!
 
Each month a classroom from each building will win
the right to display the
Chick-fil-A cow for
having the most students
participate in our Spirit Night!!!
 
 
Congratulations!!!
One lucky kid will win a cool Chick-fil-A
t/shirt each month!!!
 
TerraCycle
As part of our "going green"
effort, we are now participating in the TerraCycle project!
Turn in your empty, strawless
drink pouches, ie Capri Sun
and we will not only be benefiting our environment, but the will pay us for each one we turn in! So, start saving them now! Please make sure they are empty and not sticky on the outside. You can send them in a ziploc back or whatever may be convenient! Thank you!
 
PS. The lunchroom is helping us with this project by collecting them there too!
 
 Nestle Labels
**Please note that we are no longer collecting the Nestle labels...
they have discontinued their
"go play" program.
BUT!!! WE did manage to turn in enough labels to get us many
playground balls and jumpropes! So, thank you for your help with this program!
Our new equipment will be
right after we start back
to school!
 
 
 
 
Pup Snacks
Each month your child will recieve an envelope for them to be able to purchase a snack on Fridays. Each snack costs
50 cents.
A list of snacks will be on the front, just indicate which snacks you would like to purchase.
The snacks will be listed by date.
We will ask that if possible you order for the month, which will be easier for you to do at one time, instead of 4 or 5 times during the month.
Also, we are starting what we are calling a 
pup snack
scholarship fund...
When and if you are able, if you could send in a little extra on the scholarship line of your envelope,
we will keep track of those funds separately. When there is enough to furnish snacks for those who haven't been able to
participate in this, we will give
everyone snack for that day, then
start the fund over. On weeks that it is not possible to give snack to everybody, we will give everyone some kind of treat!
So, if you could help when you can, it would be greatly appreciated, also if you work at
a business that might want to help supply snacks, let us know!
 
Future PTO meetings will
be held on Thursday nights.
Which Thursday night of the month,
is yet to be determined.
