About Us
The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is an active organization for parents of all elementary students K-3. The main purpose is building relationships with parents, teachers and our school as a whole, plus we raise funds for our classrooms benefit. We have become a strong support to the elementary schools at Carl Junction. The PTO organization sponsors many activities that promote school spirit throughout the school year. The profit that is made goes straight to the schools as a whole building or to the teachers.
Many people ask, who is PTO??? Well, if you are a parent, grandparent or gaurdian with a child in our school systyem, the answer is you! We aren't a club, we are an organization that tries to unite our students, parents and teachers to have a stronger bond, all while raising money. What does the money go to??? Well, throughout the year there may be events that the PTO helps sponsor by supplying refreshments, like at open house, occassionally a library night, etc. During the year, the school may need funds for items that normally aren't alloted for in a regualar school budget, we are happy to help with those needs. And, at the end of the school year, we give the principals each a check and they use those funds to help keep classrooms updated, supplied and try to keep consistancy throughout the classrooms, all the while keeping up with changing needs.
Some promotions that we have, we give our teachers funds to go back into their classrooms. As you know, they spend lots of their own money teaching our children.
We like to give back to them as often as we can!
So, where do we meet??? We meet usually the first Thursday of each month, BUT check out our calendar page to make sure, some months we move our meeting to accomodate special needs or events. We meet in the 2/3 building @ 6:30. We keep our meetings short and sweet, the sweet part is the cookies! So, please join us!

PTO donated money to each classroom for supplies and gave both principals
equal checks that have helped furnish
substantial equipment for our
children's classrooms!
